David Karp is an economist, blogger and freelance journalist who lives in Ottawa.

David holds an M.A. in economic policy from McMaster University and a B.A. in economics from the University of Victoria. His primary economic interests are in applied areas such as labour, public, experimental and sports economics.

David’s past journalism positions include reporter with the Vancouver Sun and Times Colonist, sports stringer with Canadian Press, editor-in-chief of the Martlet and Western Bureau Chief with Canadian University Press.

In his spare time, David enjoys playing soccer, piano and Scrabble, as well as spending time with his fiancée Laura.
